persistance ».

Grape varieties : Grenache blanc 40%, Grenache gris 40%, Macabeu 20%. Selection of our old vines with a small yield of 30-35 HL / HA

Ideal for aperitives or with shellfish, grilled fish or fish prepared with a sauce.

IGP Indications Géographiques Protégées

The Vins de Pays, or “country wine”, appellation was created by decree on the 13th of September 1968 to categorise certain wines as departmental or zonal (more common in areas where the departments are small). The zoning reflects a collection of land belonging to an administrative centre (such as a commune, canton or department), and does not specify individual parcels like the AOC. Another decree in October 1987 introduced a third type of VdP: regional Vins de Pays, taken from a vast pool of wine producing areas within a region. The last decree concerning the production methods of departmental VdP was made in September 2000 – although it has been modified eight times subsequently.
Since the 1st of August, 2009, all wines formerly known as Vins de Pays are now to be known as wines with a Protected Geographic Status or IGP as it is known in France. All yield and analysis criteria cited within this document are currently under review by Brussels to receive recognition by all European Union member states by the end of 2011. All IGP regions under review can be found on the internet.

Grenache gris, or grey grenache is, like white Grenache, a genetic variant of grenache. It is principally grown in the Pyrénées-Orientales and the Aude.
It is drought resistant and holds up in strong winds.
We use grenache gris in the making of Vins Doux Naturels as well as in our dry white wines.
The extraordinary minerality of old vine grenache gris gives crisp, fine aromas.

Grenache blanc (like grenache gris) is a genetic variant of grenache. This grape is mainly cultivated in the Mediterranean region of France.
It forms a part of the white wines of Maury vins blancs de Maury.
Grenache blanc is used for dry white wines.
